Elke Weiss studied Dramaturgy and Art at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Germany. For over nine years, she worked as Director of Photography for various TV stations in Germany.

In 1998 she came to the Unites States and studied Computer Graphics at UCLA, and shortly afterwards founded her company colourlounge. Since then she worked with a wide range of clients mainly branding TV stations and TV shows. Her print work won several awards and got recognized worldwide.
